Strengthening Food Security in Armenia: $3 Million Grant Agreement Signed for the CAFSEP Program

On May 22, a $3 million grant agreement was signed for the “Climate-Resilient Adaptive Food Security Enhancement Program” (CAFSEP).
The project aims to support agricultural development by introducing climate-resilient technologies in 10 communities located in the Tavush and Shirak regions.
The agreement was signed by Armenian Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan and Don Lambert, Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Permanent Mission in Armenia. Arman Khojoyan, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, was also present at the signing ceremony.
The grant will be used to strengthen the resilience of agricultural activities and improve food security in rural areas that are highly vulnerable to the effects of climate change, in cooperation with the Armenian government.
