Armenia Fund Celebrates the Completion of the “Our Gyumri” Housing Project

The Armenia Fund celebrated the completion of the final phase of the “Our Gyumri” housing project during a grand inauguration ceremony held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, in Gyumri, Armenia. This significant project was made possible through the generous donations of the Armenian-American community, with major financial support from the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America.

Maria Mehranian, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Armenia Fund, expressed her gratitude for the support, stating:

“In 2023, our efforts enabled 36 families in Gyumri to enjoy the security and comfort of modern housing, made possible through the generous support of our donors. Today, we are delighted to open our two new, larger apartment buildings, providing homes for an additional 50 families.”

Located in the Mush 2 district, the Gyumri housing project now offers a total of 86 housing units with the completion of its latest phase. Designed to withstand seismic activity, the apartments are equipped with solar water heaters to minimize their environmental impact. Fully furnished with essential amenities, including household appliances, these residences will provide sustainable and comfortable living spaces for their occupants.
