Highlights from Our Webinar on Commercial Transport Between France and Armenia.
News
The Franco-Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFA) organised a webinar dedicated to freight transport between France and Armenia, providing businesses with practical insights to better plan and secure their commercial operations.
Led by Sébastien Vitali, Trade Manager at CMA CGM and a member of the CCIFA Board of Directors, the presentation explored the different logistics solutions available, their costs and transit times, as well as the formalities to anticipate when trading between the two countries.
Comparing transport options to make the right choice
Road transport, sea freight via the Georgian ports of Poti and Batumi, or air freight: each option offers different advantages depending on the nature of the goods, the budget and the desired delivery time. The webinar highlighted the differences in costs and transit times between these solutions, as well as Georgia’s essential role as a transit country for land and sea freight between Europe and Armenia.
Anticipating formalities and ensuring secure shipments
Beyond choosing a carrier, successful commercial operations depend on thorough logistics and customs preparation. The presentation covered the main formalities to consider, product compliance requirements and additional charges that may affect the final cost of a shipment.
Supporting French-Armenian trade
Through this webinar, the CCIFA continues its commitment to strengthening economic relations between France and Armenia. By providing practical information on transport solutions and the challenges of international trade, the Chamber helps businesses make informed decisions and facilitates their international operations.
The CCIFA would like to thank Sébastien Vitali for his presentation and for sharing his expertise on an issue that is essential to French-Armenian trade.
