Pion – An Innovative Agricultural Project in Armenia
CCIFA Armenia supports initiatives that drive economic development and innovation in Armenia, including Pion, an agricultural project founded by Armand Pinabasi and Smbat Harutyunyan. Built around a modern vision of agriculture, the project showcases the country's potential for high-value agricultural investment and international cooperation.
Located in the village of Fantan at an altitude of 1,800 metres, Pion combines advanced greenhouse technology with innovative farming practices developed in partnership with European companies, particularly from the Netherlands. The project benefits from exceptional natural conditions, including high-quality water resources, abundant sunshine, and an environment well suited to year-round agricultural production.
Beyond technological innovation, Pion contributes to local development by creating skilled employment opportunities, promoting knowledge transfer, and providing training in modern agricultural techniques. The project demonstrates Armenia's capacity to attract innovative investment and develop a sustainable, competitive, and forward-looking agricultural sector.
