Veolia Jur joins the CCIFA network

The CCIFA is pleased to welcome Veolia Jur into its Franco-Armenian business community.

Veolia, a French group officially known as Veolia Water – Compagnie Générale des Eaux, has played a major role in the water sector in Armenia for many years. After successfully managing drinking water and wastewater systems in Yerevan between 2006 and 2016 through Yerevan Djur CJSC, Veolia won the international tender launched by the Government of the Republic of Armenia for the nationwide management of water and wastewater systems.

To implement this project, Veolia Jur CJSC was established, and on November 21, 2016, a tripartite lease agreement was signed between the Veolia Group, Veolia Jur, and the State Water Committee of the Republic of Armenia, appointing Veolia Jur as the sole operator for a period of 15 years starting January 1, 2017.

Under this agreement, Veolia Jur is responsible for the production and distribution of drinking water, wastewater collection and treatment, and infrastructure modernization, aiming to provide reliable and high-quality service to approximately 73% of the Armenian population, a goal already achieved in Yerevan.

• 805,000 subscribers (including 622,000 active)

Veolia Jur has also committed to a 15-year investment program of 45 billion drams to modernize water infrastructure in Yerevan and many urban and rural areas.
