European Union-Funded Electric Buses Have Arrived in Gyumri

News

The five electric buses, acquired as part of the “Alliance for Sustainable and Green Management” project and financed by the European Union, have now arrived in Gyumri.

“Just as the railway first reached Gyumri, the Caucasus’ first electric buses have now also arrived in our city. This project, which includes several initiatives, marks an important milestone with the introduction of fully electric buses. We are proud that Gyumri is at the forefront of this innovation. We plan to gradually replace our bus fleet with electric models, and we are currently working on the plans and measures necessary to achieve this,” said Gyumri Mayor Vardges Samsonyan during a press conference.

He added that the fare for the new electric buses will be 100 AMD.
