News

Armenia has officially been designated as the host country of the 10th Francophonie Games.

This unique event, combining sport and culture, will take place in Yerevan from July 23 to August 1, 2027. It will showcase the talents of young people from across the French-speaking world through a wide range of sporting and cultural competitions.

The Host City Agreement for the 10th Francophonie Games 2027 was signed on June 27, 2024, officially launching preparations for this landmark event celebrating Francophone culture and sport in Yerevan.

Among Armenia's greatest strengths are its high-quality sports and cultural infrastructure. These include the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, which hosted the 2018 Francophonie Summit; the V. Tumasyan Stadiumin the city of Abovyan, with a capacity of 3,000 spectators; and the Gazprom Armenia Educational and Sports Complex, an ideal venue for breaking competitions, inaugurated in 2019, among others.

Although some of these facilities would benefit from modernization, Armenia already possesses infrastructure capable of hosting both athletes and artists, representing a significant advantage.
