UFAR Students Discover the Behind-the-Scenes Workings of La Marseillaise
News
On April 28, students from the French University in Armenia (UFAR) had the unique opportunity to visit the offices of the emblematic newspaper La Marseillaise in Marseille.
Warmly welcomed by the editorial team, they discovered the behind-the-scenes operations of this committed daily newspaper, founded on strong values of remembrance, social justice, and the defense of rights. This immersion enabled the students to gain a better understanding of the internal workings of an opinion-based media outlet, from article development to page layout.
Accompanied by Sylvie Séropian, Assistant at the French-Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Simon Azilazian, an active member of the Chamber, the students attended a presentation of the newspaper, exchanged with journalists, and received a copy of the newspaper personalized with their names.
This visit was part of a study trip to France aimed at strengthening cultural and professional ties between France and Armenia, while providing students with practical insight into the professional world and French institutions.
