After studying computer science and spending around twenty years in various technical and commercial roles in the sector, Raffi Derderian led his own software publishing company in Lyon in the early 2000s, alongside his two brothers and business partners. After selling the company, he supported the commercial development of a major Lyon-based IT services company with 1,200 employees, before creating and leading its international business activity. He served there for twenty years as co-director and shareholder.

Alongside his professional career, he had the honour of serving on a voluntary basis for ten years as a commercial court judge and then as presiding judge at the Lyon Commercial Court. Holding both French and Armenian nationality, he has been voluntarily involved for more than twenty-five years in numerous projects in Armenia, notably within UFAR, TUMO, CEPFA, and the Armenian Paralympic Committee.

As a natural continuation of his professional career and consular commitment, he now devotes his energy to the development of CCIFA. After opening the Lyon office in 2025, he helped turn it into a dynamic hub which, in 2026, brings together around twenty members and carries out initiatives recognized for their effectiveness and impact.
