SRDB, the Marseille-Based Law Firm, Continues Its Growth and Sets Its Sights on Africa
News
In 2026, it will mark ten years since co-founders Me Georges Sioufi and Me Ziad Beylouni established SRDB, a law firm specializing in international business law. Today, with a team of around forty lawyers, financial advisers, tax specialists, and experts, the firm offers businesses a comprehensive range of services to navigate increasingly complex international markets. An in-depth look.
After Lebanon, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Near East, we meet the two partners in their offices in Marseille. Located in the heart of the city, their offices are just a short walk from the Old Port. To reach them, one strolls through several boulevards. Above, seagulls circle in the blue sky, their morning calls filling the air. They are not rehearsing legal arguments, but rather inviting a broader perspective. The sky is clear, and the temperature is approaching 19°C.
“There are exactly six partners in the firm. However, Ziad and I founded the practice together in 2016. We first met at CMA CGM...”
Both men, trained as lawyers and legal professionals, led the General Secretariat of this flagship French company for nearly thirty years. Me Georges Sioufi joined the company founded by Jacques Saadé in 1978 before Me Ziad Beylouni.
“Yes, I began my professional career at CMA. At the time, CGM had not yet been acquired (Editor's note: the Compagnie Générale Maritime was acquired in 1996). That is where I met Ziad. He joined the group in 1998 and became one of my closest collaborators.”
