Armenia’s Economic Activity Index Increased by 8.7% Over the First Nine Months of the Year

Armenia’s economic activity index increased by 8.7% between January and September of this year compared with the same period last year.

Industrial output in Armenia grew by 12.6% during the first nine months of the year compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. Gross agricultural production increased by 1.8%, while the construction sector recorded growth of 15.9%. Trade turnover also rose by 19.5%.

During the same period, the volume of services provided increased by 5.9%. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) remained stable, while the Industrial Producer Price Index (PPI) increased by 2.9%. Electricity generation recorded a slight increase of 1.2%.

As for foreign trade, total trade volume increased by 73.5% compared with the previous year, with exports rising by a factor of 2.1 and imports increasing by 54.2%.
