Armenia’s Agricultural Sector Grew by 4% in the First Half of the Year

According to the Statistical Committee of Armenia, agricultural, forestry, and fisheries production in Armenia increased by 4.3% during the first six months of 2024 compared with the same period of the previous year.

During this period, the sectors generated a total output of 311.3 billion drams. Of this amount, the agricultural sector recorded 4% growth, reaching 285.8 billion drams. Crop production increased by 10.6%, including services related to land cultivation such as soil preparation and sowing, with a total output of 117.6 billion drams. By contrast, the livestock sector recorded a modest increase of just 0.1%, with production amounting to 168.2 billion drams.

The forestry sector grew by 7.1%, with total output reaching 989.7 million drams. The fisheries sector recorded a 7.2% increase, reaching a total production value of 24.5 billion drams.
